Hello
I am Noora, a contemporary dancer with over 20 years of experience.
While my primary work has been in the UK, I have had many opportunities to perform in Europe. Throughout my career, I’ve been privileged touring and showcasing my art in renowned stages and unexpected settings, such as churches.
My journey has been enriching as a dancer, performer, teacher, choreographer, and creative community leader.
My key strength lies in a deep understanding and appreciation of the significance of diverse arts and cultures in fostering well-being within a flourishing society.
I create dance through collaboration, and exchanging ideas and minds with others is crucial to replenishing your creative resources. Being an artist can be lonely, too, as you end up doing many people’s jobs.
Despite my unwavering dedication to the art form, the experience has raised more questions than answers, demanding constant attention. My current study towards a BA in Culture and Art management has been a way to tackle some of the questions about art and dance.
Although I have retired from performing, I have chosen to remain a culture and arts-enabling producer in the industry, assisting others in realising and pursuing their artistic dreams.
My mission is to keep dance accessible for all and provide opportunities to people who otherwise would not have the chance to experience it.
