Teacher and Movement Facilitator

Teacher and Movement Facilitator

My teaching methods have developed over the years through practice. My passion for dance and movement has helped me realise the benefits of engaging with the public through sharing creative ideas and enabled me to flourish further as a performer and innovative thinker.
I blend my teaching with known Dance techniques, such as Ballet, Release and Cunningham. Particular emphasis is given to how we connect our bodies and maximise the use of the floor to power our movements.
I emphasise the dynamic shifts and rhythms within the movements and challenge the participant’s imagination of how we move through the flow of shapes we create as we dance.
Dance is a social activity and should be approached with the mindset of having fun, whatever your experience level.
I lead sessions that encapsulate the essence of having fun, and I take the participants’ direction to steer the class or workshop in a direction where everyone feels welcome.

Movement Facilitation

In essence, all my teaching considers movement facilitation, but in industry terms, it can help people produce and create movement out of their current knowledge or mindset.
Movement facilitation workshops are suitable for people, groups, or organisations not familiar with dance but who want to improve their creative problem-solving or introduce elements of dance to their production.
